On July 27th at our Cruefest Hollywood performance at the Whisky Black Valentine released our 8the Studio Album entitled “Heavy Hearts.”
It’s a double album with a concept. The “Heavy” Disk has 10 Rockers on it and the “Hearts” Disk has 8 softer, more emotional Songs on it.
This is the 3rd Album with Frankie Yanno singing Lead Vocals and features Jesse Wolff on Drums and Duke Caroenter on Bass. Duke also sings Lead Bocals on 2 of the Songs on the “Hearts” Disk.
Our friends singing Gang Vocals on several of the Songs on both Disks are Ray Porschien, Eric “Filth” Angelo, Babs Benson, Loren Defect, Phil “PJ” Davis,, and Mark Prudeaux.
We stated working up songs for the Record in October of 2023. Recording began in January of 2024 and the Album was finished in June 2024. The Album was Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered at Gossamer Studios in Van Nuys, CA by Frankie Yanno who also did the Graphic Design on the Record. These Songs show the diversity of Black Valentine’s Songwriting. It’s always been important for our Songs to not be the same as each other while sounding consistently like the Band.
