From Out Of The Wreckage Into a New Reality

Updated: Jun 15, 2021

2020 has been the year of the Pandemic, a year of loss, pain, death, uncertainty, miss-trust, divisiveness, and we've watched Politics make enemies of friends.

We've lost major icons and heroes including Eddie Van Halen , Neil Peart, Little Richard, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sean Connery, Kobe Bryant, Alex Trebeck, and Chadwick Boseman to name a few.

Bands couldn't Perform live in front of Audiences. Venues shut down, Shows and entire Tours were cancelled. Trying to keep a Band together under these circumstances is virtually impossible.

And so it was with Black Valentine. We've parted ways with Merle Gregory (Bass) due to differences of opinion and with Earl Drummond (Singer) who's gone on to pursue his own Musical expression. The split is amicable.

But that left Jesse and me to pick up the pieces and move forward.

Most people would have thrown in the towel. But we've risen from the ashes and bounced back better than ever. During the Lockdown I wrote and demoed off 2 albums worth of Songs. And let me tell you- this is some of the best material I've ever created.

With this new material came a different sound, a different direction, and a return of sorts to the heavier band we were during the Slingshot Rebels album- something that I felt we lost sight of.

So we've begun Recording a new original Album titled New Reality with 12 outstanding Songs..I will be taking on the role of Lead Singer. Playing Bass on the Record is Jose Ferro- a tremendous musician who I played with in the band Angel City Rockers.

The Album should be out early 2021 with plans to support the album Live as soon as we're allowed.

We have one goal in mind- to be larger than life.

Stay safe. Thank you for your continued support.

Hope to see you soon!!
